cabbages.jpg

The new cabbage soup diet can help you to jump start a healthy diet plan and shed a few ponds at the same time. However the new cabbage soup diet should not be followed for more than 7 days at a time due to the small amount of calories present.

The new cabbage soup diet plan can be found right here on this site and one may eat as much of the soup as they like.

The new cabbage soup diet recipe is as follows:

You’ll need.

6 large green onions

2 green peppers

1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)

3 Carrots 1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms

1 bunch celery

1/2 head cabbage

1 package Lipton soup mix

 1or2 cubes bouillon (optional)

1 48oz can V8 juice (optional) Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, garlic powder, etc.

Directions:

Slice the green onions, put in pot and sauté with cooking spray.

Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, remove seeds and membrane.

Cut the green-pepper into bite size pieces and put in pot.

Remove the outer leaf layers from the cabbage and discard, cut the remaining cabbage into bite size pieces, put in pot.

Clean carrots cut into bite size pieces put in pot.

Slice Mushrooms into thick slices (otherwise they will disappear in the soup). Put in pot.

If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of cayenne pepper (red pepper) now (1/3 teaspoon is quite a bit as the soup will get spicier as it cooks further).

You can use beef or chicken bouillon cubes for seasonings. They have all the salt and flavors you will need.  Use about 12 cups of water (or 8 cups and the V8 juice), cover and put heat on low.

Let soup simmer until vegetables are tender. (two hours works well). Taste and then season to taste with salt and pepper.

Always check with your doctor before beginning any diet and don’t  follow the cabbage soup diet for more than 7 days in a row.

Goji berries have 18 Amino acids, Iron, Beta Carotene, vitamins B1, B2, B6, C and E. In Tibetan medicine, Goji berries are used in the treatment of kidney and liver problems, eye problems, rashes, allergies, tuberculosis and diabetes. Due to its high level of antioxidants, they are also believed to increase longevity and strengthen the immune system.

Goji berries can be bought in specialty supermarkets and because they are quite chewy, you can easily mix them with your favorite breakfast of oatmeal, cereal or just directly consume the dried or fresh variety. Changing the Way You Eat, Can Change the Way You Look and Feel

There are many people who would love to increase their metabolism, have more energy, and maybe even lose some weight. However, we enjoy food a great deal, and we either dislike exercise, or have no time for it. Getting out of my chair to go get another cup of coffee probably does not qualify as exercise. So for myself and for others like me, I’ve been looking for an alternative. What I discovered is that there are foods that not only provide essential nutrients, they also actually aid in the weight loss process. Increasing the amounts of these foods in your diet, plus including some light physical activity will change your health, and your attitude. Going for a walk in the morning and the evening, some stretching or aerobics during the day, these are great for losing some extra pounds, and stimulating your metabolism.

The list of foods below, will not add any weight to your body, and they will actually help to dissolve and release body fat, burn fat, and calories, inhibit the absorption of calories and fat, plus increase your metabolism so that you have more energy and burn more calories.

For recipes that will turn these foods into meals and treats that have as much taste and flavor as they do nutrition, visit http://www.shapefit.com/weight-loss-recipes.html
